Jewish day schools have matured in many respects and multiplied in number. With maturation and growth come challenges, particularly in hard economic times. More than ever, schools need to increase quality of education and affordability. A key prerequisite is strong governance and high quality planning which provide a platform for educational excellence and accessibility. The Institute offers research, analytical and training support to communities and schools in support of these efforts.

Day School Governance and Planning

Good planning is at the core of strong day school governance and higher quality, more affordable day schools. In this section, we share the work of the institute to promote more effective governance and planning.

Day School Affordability

The growing gap between incomes and day school costs has caused school affordability to be a critical threat to the vitality of Jewish day schools and to the continued attendance of a large and growing percentage of prospective day school families. The Institute for University-School Partnership has developed a variety of analyses and tools to help schools understand, communicate, and deal with the challenges of affordability.
